Is it possible to put a widget on the home screen that displays and image?
on the organized themes home page there are those squares that display information. Some thing like that!?
Good Morning Zac,
It looks like that widget is borrowed from the Grassroots theme. I rolled it into a plugin you can use. It’s not extensively tested, but I believe it’ll work for you. You can download it at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6160765/Plugins/side-by-side-widget.zip
Let me know if you have any trouble,
Bill
Do i add the CSS to the custom CSS section in advanced options?
Here is a good exampel of what im trying to do.

The very first section is – more than likely – a .jpg or .png that that displays the different things they offer using iconography. i’d like to do this same thing with our 3 purposes.
You can create a layout like that. I would probably go with a columns plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/column-shortcodes/ . That way you can create a page and insert as many columns as you need. Then just place your icon and the corresponding text inside that column. Then you can add that page’s content to your front page via a widget.
See how that works.
ONce i’ve downloaded these plugins, where do i add the css?
Hey Zac,
The CSS is built into both plugins. You only need to add something if you want to change how they work by default.
