    Bill: I installed the Epic theme on my sister and bro-in-law’s ministry website, and turned her loose working on it to enter data…etc. Then, went in to work on personalizing the theme…etc, and find that there is no “HOME” page attribute option on her temp home page, and when I try to set up a new home page, I still don’t have a HOME attribute template to choose.

    Help! hahaha! I’m sure it’s one click away from my attention, but just can’t find the solution.

    Good Morning Kim,

    Sorry for the trouble there. That version of the theme doesn’t use a home page template. It will appear by default if the reading settings are set to show your latest posts instead of selecting a static page.

    Since you’re just getting started though, I would download the current version of the theme and install it. It’s a big improvement over the earlier versions. That’s what I would suggest. You’ll also have the home page template to work with then.

    Bill: Thanks for the help…apparently I am running the current “Epic” because it reads the following when I tried to install the theme that I just now downloaded from above.

    Destination folder already exists. /home3/woodfor3/public_html/redwoodproject/wp-content/themes/epic/

    Theme install failed

    The issue that instigated my discovering that there is no “home” template in attributes is that I have updated the slides that are supposed to be scrolling on home…deleted the two that were there before (totally removed from delete folder) and it is still playing the original two that were there before. If you want, I can drop you login info and let you take a look….I’m totally stumped.

    WordPress won’t allow you to install a theme that has the same folder name as one that’s already installed. You can just delete the existing epic theme and then install the new one.

    Or you can unzip the epic.zip file and rename the folder to something like epic2 and then zip it back up. From there it should let you install it like a new theme.
