Hero Button

Hi Bill,

What a fun theme this is! So many options to make each page of the site unique yet unified theme.

Couple of questions:

1. How do you nudge the hero button button for better left/right alignment?

2. On your demo you have a “Featured Items” for a Home Block, is that the featured post widget or featured products widget? For featured products, I saw the size is 360×480 (thanks for listing those sizes so prominently). These “Featured Items” look more square. What size are the images or does the widget take care of sizing?

Hello Becky,

I’m glad you’re having fun with the theme. Let’s see if we can answer your questions for you.

1. The hero button can be centered, left or right aligned. You could absolutely position it someplace else if you wanted to. Each slide has a unique ID that you can use to apply styling directly to that slide individually for that reason.

The only part that’s a bit tricky is the hero section is set to be displayed as a table and the content as a table cell. I made it that way so that the content could be vertically centered regardless of whether it’s a lot of content or not. You’d probably want to set any of those that adjust the styling of to be displayed as a block instead.

2. In the demo we use a widget called Home Block – Products. The images in the demo are a bit more square than their maximum size requires. The originals there were sized 530 by 320 when they were uploaded.
