Gravatar for About Me

Hi Bill –

Building another site! I’m using Photobug to start with. I’m trying to setup the About Me sidebar widget with information about the organization. Based on what I’ve read, I need to create a Gravatar account with the organization’s email address in order to use a custom image here. I don’t see a way to do it within WordPress itself. Is this correct? Is there a way to override this and allow me to upload an image for this that I can change later if I want?

Excellent question Lara. There is a plugin called Simple Local Avatars (https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-local-avatars/) that can let you upload an image (or choose one from the media library) inside your WordPress profile. That way you can skip the Gravatar if you’d like to.
