Hello, I am about to start setting up a WooCommerce cart on this site, http://www.javalovesedona.com. I have already created a coffee page, http://www.javalovesedona.com/our-coffee/, and just got instructions from the owners to do a limited offer to start. This is good news, in that I can create a brand new page to do this on, a page that is offline while I figure all this out.

This is my first time working with the Bottega theme and the first time with WooCommerce. I found a great instruction page prepared about the steps to take, https://www.shivarweb.com/wordpress-ecommerce-setup/.

Before I dive in I’d like to know if you have posted any specific guidelines about integrating WooCommerce with Bottega specifically, or Organized Themes in general. If not, is there anything I should be aware of OR can I follow the WooCommerce guidelines with a reasonable level of confidence? I’ll be integrating this with the owner’s PayPal account.

    Thank you much,
    Joan

    Hi Joan,

You should be good to go following Woo’s setup instructions. Bottega isn’t specifically created for WooCommerce, but I would expect it to work. If you do have any trouble, let me know.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Bill, I’ve noticed your responsiveness elsewhere and appreciate your quick replies today. I shall carry on and come back if difficulties.

That being said, before I head down this road, is there another ecommerce plugin you suggest for online sales that might integrate more easily with Bottega? This will be a small ecommerce effort in that they’re only selling up to 10 varieties of beans.

I know there are WooCommerce themes but my customer preferred the Bottega theme. If you were only saying that Bottega is not a WooCommerce theme, then no need to reply.

    Hello Joan,

I would definitely go with WooCommerce. I depend on it to run my own business and it really works well. Last I heard it had crossed above 30% of all e-commerce sites, not just WordPress e-commerce but across platforms. That says a lot about the plugin.

They’ve built it so that it will run on most WordPress sites without requiring modifications to the theme. I’m certain I’ve seen some Bottega sites running it before, but I can’t think of their names off the top of my head to point you to them.

It should work great for you there. If you do have any trouble, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help out.

    Thanks,
    Bill
