    Hi Bill,

Thank you for all of your guidance. As you know, I’m working my way through the customization. Needing a little more assistance…

I used the demo content but then started to delete aspects I didn’t need or want (i.e. the files with WooCommerce because of my alternate POS platform). I find myself wanting two features of the original demo – the second (the three pictures w/ titles – ‘Custom Projects’; ‘Dresses’, ‘Shirts’) and third widgets/rows (the rolling text with the red shoes in the background).

I want the second or three pictures to look the same as the WooCommerce (including the lines above the image titles). Rather than linking through to the shop area I want this to link to another page. I think this is pretty straight forward with just using a image widget within the row. However, not clear on how to get the label or title with the links and the link.

Is the rolling text over the background image a plug in? If so, will it be available to me from the demo content import or do I need to import a specific widget/plugin.

    Thanks,

    Tammy

    Hi Tammy,

Excellent question there. Both of those widgets build on functionality that’s part of WooCommerce to work.

You could recreate the products widget, the one with the various dresses in it, by making a row with four columns. Then in each column, insert a visual editor widget. Place an image at the top of each of these widgets with the title below and that’s pretty much it. If you need to add in a button, you can insert a button like this:

    [button url="http://yoururl.com" label="Button Text"]

The other widget with “Custom Products, Dresses and Shirts” doesn’t have a comparable solution. What I would suggest doing is using an app like Canva (https://www.canva.com) to add text over the images of your choice. You wouldn’t have the animation, but it would be possible.

    Take care,
    Bill
