Thank you so much for your incredible tech-support. You always get right back with me and are so patient as I am a novice at this.

Just looking for you to point me in the right direction. I have searched to no avail (not sure how to search for it) for a plug-in that can set up a form on a page on our site where folks can sign up to take a family a meal. It seems it would be fairly simple, I want to create a page that I can send to folks in our church and they can sign-up to take a meal but also see who has already signed up so as not to duplicate meals being taken. I guess it would be a “live” editable form that everyone I send the page to could edit. I would then like it to send me a notification if someone has changed something on the form (ie. added their name). What tags would I even use to search for a plug-in of that nature?

    Thank-you so much!

There is an online site that does this (Takethemameal.com) but I would like to set something simpler up on our site and keep it more in-house.

    Good Morning John,

That is an excellent question indeed. There is a plugin called PTA Volunteer Sign Ups (https://wordpress.org/plugins/pta-volunteer-sign-up-sheets/) that looks like you could use for this purpose. It’s not one that I’ve ever used, but it looks promising.

A lot of churches use Google Docs for that. You can use one of their spreadsheets to make that work. Another option is something like SignMeUp (http://signmeup.com) but both of those take people off of your site.

At our church, we recently switched to using Church Community Builder for online giving and all types of member organizing. It’s not cheap, but it’s been a great tool.

If you do try the PTA plugin, let me know how it goes. If it works well, I’d love to be able to pass that along as a helpful solution.

    Thanks,
    Bill
