We are using Bottega and really love it but have a problem. We have pages like:

    http://imaginecoffee.net/imagine-in-corvallis (About Us) and
    http://imaginecoffee.net/events-in-corvallis/ (Events)

These pages are linked to our main site menu, which works perfectly.

We also use the theme’s Featured Row option, with a Category that links to 5 posts. We created posts for About and Events that reference the pages as links:

    http://imaginecoffee.net/2012/02/16/the-sign-the-story/ (for About)
    http://imaginecoffee.net/2012/02/16/live-arts/ (for Events)

How can we make the Featured Row entries reference the pages directly? We like how the main page looks and do not want to change it, but want the Featured Image for About to link to the About page, not a post that only contains a link to the Page.

I hope that’s clear, can you help? THANKS!

    Robert,

Great question and I believe I can help. When you’re editing a post just below the main content box is a small field labeled Redirect URL. You can enter any URL into the box and that post will then send visitors to the new specified address.

You can use this to send the posts on your featured row to another URL.

If you have any trouble, let me know.

Thank you for your business and enjoy your weekend,
    Bill

    Bill,

I am having issues with the feature row. It will not recognize the hyplerlink and the animation of the dark box is not working, but only on a pc, on the mac it works fine. Also the facebook widget does not show up when the site is viewed on a pc, but again it works fine on a mac. Any sugggestions?

Sometimes Facebook widgets aren’t visible unless you’re logged in. For pages that deal with alcohol (which many restaurants do), Facebook places a rating on the page that makes the like boxes not visible unless you’re logged in.

If you don’t mind sending over a link to your site, I’ll be happy to look at it and the featured row boxes for you.

    Thanks,
    Bill
