    Hi!

    Yesterday they released a new version of WordPress. Is it safe to update, or might there be some incompatibilities?
    What would be the best practice with updates in general regarding the theme?

    Excellent question. I would recommend always updating. Occasionally there will be a change that requires a theme update, but that’s not as common as it was back in the 2.x and early 3.x days.

    It’s always a good idea to make a backup before updating WordPress, a plugin, or a theme in addition to a regular routine of backing up. That way if something does go horribly wrong for some reason, you can get back again quickly.

    Thanks — I updated WordPress and so far everything seems to be working as it should. 🙂
