Cropping pictures for staff

I am updating / creating the staff pages and when I go into my media and crop it is not allowing me to save at times and if it does it chooses it’s own set of paramaters (area of the picture to use.

The image editing that’s built into WordPress is pretty anemic. I’d suggest using something like Photoshop Express Online (http://www.photoshop.com/tools/expresseditor). It’s free and pretty works well.
For the staff images in Moonrise, make them 300 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall so they fit nicely.
