When i make a new page with a word count of 56 or more words, i get a code glitch at the top of the page that pushes down the black bar with the newsletter email form in it. the code glitch displays:

    more ยป” />

    How do i fix this?

Some plugins add a filter on the function that the theme uses to generate the search engine description. When that happens, you can end up with a situation like you described above.

Regardless of the cause, one way to take care of that is in the theme options page, select “no” on “Include Built-In SEO” and then install a plugin such as WordPress SEO by Yoast. I’ve been using that SEO plugin on my sites since it was first released and I’ve been very pleased with it. Not only does it do a good job of adding descriptions and titles, but it also prompts me so I make sure my content is optimized as best as possible.

If you have any trouble, let me know.
