Change to foxy so that the Category description is loaded before the posts

Hey Bill this is Gabe can we make a change to the theme so that the category description is loaded before the posts are.

Hi Gabriel,

You can absolutely do that with a bit of editing. Here’s what to do:

1. Go to the Appearance section in your WordPress dashboard and choose Edit.
2. From the list of files on your right, choose index.php
3. Replace all the code there with this:

   
   (Be sure to visit the support site for the code there).

4. Save your changes.

That should display the category description above the list of posts if it is a category being viewed. To enter a description for your categories, go to the posts section in your WordPress dashboard and click on Categories. Your categories will be listed on the right there. Click on the name of the first one you want to work with and you can add your description there.
