    Bill, please see the attached screenshot. I don’t know if it’s because of WP’s latest upgrade or what, but I cannot access my appearances and widgets area. Please advise!

    That looks like the account used there may not be an admin one, but one of the other roles (like editor).

    That’s what I would check first.

    I believe you’re right, as my cookie-stored password for my admin user no longer works. However, the password reset seems to word only for my other user name. I have no clue where the password reset is going for the admin account…

    If you can’t track it down, you can change the admin user’s email address inside the database directly if you need to. Your web host should have a myPHPAdmin spot where you can log directly into the database and find the user. It’s not ideal, but it is an option for you.
