Add Scholarship Winner Bio to Post

I am not sure how is the best way to go about adding a bio to individual posts. We already have a child theme for our scholarship winners to each have a bio page. I want to use that headshot and some of the bio as a snipit at the bottom of their posts (similar to an author bio you see on some blogs). We are going to feature some of their essays from their applications as well as a separate essay contest. I am interested if there is a plugin that can easily do this or if this is something I need to pay for customization.

Hi Dave,

Good question. If a user of the site has a bio filled out in their user profile, then a box that will appear at the end of all posts that they are set to be the author of. You can look at this one in the demo to see what it’s like: http://demo.organizedthemes.com/forward/sample-gallery/ .

The trigger is to have their description set inside their user profile. The image that’s shown is their Gravatar so if they don’t have an account set up there, they’ll need to do so.

Especially since they are the authors of the posts, I would just use the built in functionality. Add them as users and set it up that way.
