    Hi Bill,
On the home page, I’d like to replace the Hero Caption with an optin that I can connect with my mail chimp account.
I have installed “Plugmatter feature box light” to use but don’t know how to insert it there.(I would like the Learn More Button to stay there as well, however.) Happy to change plugins if you have any better suggestions.

The finished product I am after will work the same way as this site (http://www.justenlightenment.com).
    Thanks!
    Kathy

    Hey Kathy,

Can I ask a quick follow up question about the lightbox. Are you wanting to have it pop up automatically when a user visits a page or just when they click a button? That will make a difference in what works best for you.

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi Bill
These are actually two different things – I should have dealt with them seperately.

The first is an optin panel as per the example above. Just a bit of text and a place to put in an email to get a report.

The second thing is the popup but I only want that to appear on certain pages (eg. certain blog posts). i was planning on buying the optin monster plugin.
    Thanks Kathy

    Good Morning Kathy,

I hope you had a fantastic weekend. For your second question, I would go with OptinMonster. By all accounts it’s a fantastic plugin for this type of function. That’s what I would do in your situation.

For the sign up in the hero section. You might take a look a the MailChimp for WordPress plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/). One of the nice features of this plugin is you can add a sign up form via a shortcode. We can use that to insert a sign up form into the hero caption spot.

I just published an update to the theme this morning that you’ll want to apply to enable shortcodes to work there.

We may need a bit of styling help with the form in that spot. If you want to send over the URL to where you’ve added the form after it’s there, I’ll be glad to show you how to tweak how it looks.

    Have a great week,
    Bill
