    Hi Bill

I am sure you are pretty sick of hearing from me by now. I have a client who is very demanding on what she wants. She doesn’t like any of the font choices for content and wants to add the font Existence – which I have and is a free font. Is there a way to add a new font for content?

    Hello Sharon,

Excellent question. It is technically possible to add a new font that you have (and that’s legal for use on the web). There is a plugin called Use Any Font (https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-any-font/) that I don’t have any experience with, that says it will let you do just that. If it works, then that might be the easiest option. It won’t add the font to the font choice list, but it will load it on your site and that’s the thickest part. Since they want this specific font, the list is irrelevant anyway.

If that’s not an option, you can use Font Squirrel to convert the font file to the various formats you’ll need for the web and generate some CSS. You can then add the font and CSS to a child theme to load onto your site.

    Take care,
    Bill
