2nd staff page?

Hey Bill,
Me again. Is it possible to have a second staff page? Reason being, they want a page listing the missionaries we support. I figured creating another staff page would be a good solution to this but when I did it just put the other staff members on there too. Is there a work around for this? Or am I just doing it all wrong?

Good Morning Micah,

You can have multiple staff listings. Instead of using the page template though, you’ll want to use staff groups. When editing or creating a staff member you’ll see a box in the right hand sidebar for staff groups. These work like categories do for posts. You’ll want to create a staff group for each separate staff listing you plan on having. Add the appropriate staff members to each group.

Then go to the navigation menu builder (Appearance > Menus) and look in the left hand columns for staff groups. If you don’t see them, click the screen options tab in the top right hand corner and make sure the box by staff groups is checked.

You can then add your staff groups to your menu, just like you would a page or category. That will create a “page” (really a dynamic archive) for each staff group.

Hey Micah,

They will look the same. Most likely you’ll want to stop using the Staff page template since it will always display all staff unless you also want these new “staff” in that list as well.

When I tried it the page doesn’t look right? It’s still under construction with pictures but it doesn’t look really anything like the other page? Am I missing something? I left it up so you could see it.

Hey Micah, do this:

1. Go to your theme options page and choose the Advanced tab.
2. Scroll down to the Custom CSS box and add this:

   
   #content.page-full {
   	overflow: hidden;
   }
   

3. Update your settings.

Ok that took care of getting the background right. But is it possible to have a hero with these? or not so much?
