I went to Appearance/Theme Options and entered all of the information for my Audio section and even created a page with the audio fee template. I then copied that URL and followed the steps to add it to iTunes and get this error:

Feed URL contains an invalid character. Only letters, without accents, numbers, and simple punctuation may be used.

    This is the url: http://www.familylifecc.tv/ourpodcastaudiofeed

    What gives?

    Hi Kevin,

I noticed if I visit http://www.familylifecc.tv/ourpodcastaudiofeed in my browser I’m getting a not found error. Double check that the page is published and that is the correct URL for me if you don’t mind.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Thanks Kevin. Here are a few things I noticed in the feed:

    1. Podcast Archive URL — In the theme options in the audio feed tab, you’ll need to enter the URL to your podcast archive. Looks like it’ll be this: http://www.familylifecc.tv/series
    2. Category and Sub-Category — Apple defines these for users. They have a list way down on http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.htm if you want to take a look. For most churches, you’ll want to use Religion & Spirituality as the category and Christianity as the sub-category. For the category, make sure to use the ampersand there and not the word “and.”
    3. Duration — in each podcast episode next to where you upload the files, there is a spot for the duration of the media files. You’ll need something entered there as a time, even if it isn’t correct.

Try changing those items and see if that doesn’t help out. Let me know what you turn up then.

    Take care,
    Bill

Ah.. I went and changed the information you suggested and now I get this error:

Can’t parse your feed. Invalid XML: Error on line 30: The reference to entity “c.getContext” must end with the “;” delimiter.

What’s the URL you’re using this time around? I’m getting a not found on http://www.familylifecc.tv/our-podcast-audio-feed now too.

Ah.. yeah, may fault. I had deleted that page for the audio feed. I recreated the page for the audio feed and ran into a logo size limiter issue as it needed to be 1400X1400 pixels.. I fixed that and BAM all better. Thank you again Bill your knowledge and patience in this matter. It is now resolved! You are the BEST!!

Fantastic! I’m glad to hear you’re all good to go with the feed. If you need anything else, just let me know.

    Have a great Thanksgiving 🙂
