    Hi –

We are frustrated with the lack of support and the bugs in the Timely calendar solution and are looking for an alternative solution. Am I correct that the Events Calendar came with the template? If so, I’m assuming that this calendar plug works flawlessly with the Forward theme and you’ll be in a better solution to help use if we run into problems using that this calendar solution.

    Hi Peter,

I do recommend the Events Calendar. It’s the one I use in our theme demos and implement if I’m making a site that needs an event calendar of some type. Hopefully it’ll work well for you.

    Take care,
    Bill

    Thanks Bill –

We are moving to the Pro version of that calendar and I wonder if you’ve ever played around with Calendar customization as described in this link: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

I wonder if there’s a way to enhance the look and feel following that instruction set.

    Best,
    Peter

The only time I’ve found it necessary to do go beyond just CSS changes was setting up a community site that had been designed by someone else. There are been a few themes where a little CSS adjustment was necessary, but that’s about it.

With the exception of my WooCommerce themes, I try not to mess around too much with the workings of a plugin. As things change in plugins, it makes updating themes quite tricky. Because of that I keep things as close to stock as possible.

    Take care,
    Bill
