When using the static homepage layout, how do I get my menu to show up at the top like it does in the demo version, allowing users to move between say home, features, blog, staff, etc? I assume it’s a widget that goes into home top or something like that, though I’m having trouble figuring it out.

Great question. You can set up your menus by going to the Appearance section of your WordPress control panel and selecting “Menu.” There you can create a custom menu of pages, categories and custom links.
