    Hi Bill!
I have just installed the Epic theme our church plant’s website. I am enjoying it and have heard lots of positive feedback! Thank you.

I am having an issue with Mail Chimp integration. I have two websites/two different themes but I use the same Mail Chimp template customized only by list name and header info/photo for each website. On the other site, the featured photo gets integrated into the post and shows in both the email sent out by Mail Chimp and on Facebook Autopost.

However, with the same template on this site, the featured photo is not included in the email rss feed and does not show on the Autoposts. If you take the link manually from the webpage and post it on Facebook, it is there. I have included my main body template as an attachment. Again, on other themes I have used, it works perfectly.

I have included three attachments. The first is the Mail Chimp template body. The second is the manual post from the link on the site. The third is the autopost.

Also, the email sent out leaves off the featured picture as well. But, it shows on the blog post on the website.

What am I overlooking? What have I missed? Any ideas?

    Good Morning Chad,

Thank you for your business first of all. I really do appreciate it. Let’s see if we can straighten out the feed for you.

By default WordPress doesn’t insert the featured image into its RSS feeds. It’s possible the last theme that you were using added it for you automatically. That would explain why changing themes took your images out.

You can add that ability in via a plugin though. There’s one called Featured Images for RSS Feeds (https://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-images-for-rss-feeds/) that looks like what you’ll be needing. I haven’t used this plugin personally, but it’s widely used and has a 5/5 star rating which is pretty remarkable.

If that doesn’t connect your feed with your images, let me know.

    Thanks again,
    Bill
