How to Change Name of "Staff Group" for URL Purposes

Hello Bill,

I only want domain.com/tean instead of
emissionstax.org/staff-group/team/

Any quick ways to do this? Short code?

That is a good question. WordPress does not offer that as a default option because you could end up with a page/post named “team” and a staff group named team which would both have the same URL. That URL would likely generate an error which is why it’s not a default option.

I did find a post at https://rudrastyh.com/wordpress/remove-taxonomy-slug-from-urls.html that can show you one method for achieving that. In that demo the taxonomy is product_cat while the one in the theme is staff-group . You would need to change the references of product_cat to staff-group.

I haven’t tested his solution out so I can’t say if it works or not, but it might be a good place to start.
