Getting ready to publish soon, how do I import subscriber list?

    Thanks!

    I meant user list.

Our Epic WordPress site is going to replace an old site with subscribers. Once the the Epic WordPress site is published, we would like to import subscribers (“Users” … in WordPress lingo, I guess) (e.g.: Name, email address, etc…).

That way we can save them the hassle of resubscribing to new site.

Second related question, can additional subscriber fields be added? If so, how?

    Hey Jerry,

It depends on what you’d like the users/subscribers to do. Are you looking to have your users/subscribers receive a newsletter? If that’s the case I would go with MailChimp. Their service is free for lists up to 2500 email address and 12,000 emails sent per month. It’s a good service that I’ve used for many years now. They have an import tool that you can use.

There is a field for signing up inside Epic’s contact widget. If you’d like to have more fields, I would go with one of the plugins for MailChimp like this one — https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/ . It’ll allow you to customize a sign up form and add it to your site.

If you have something else in mind for users let me know.

    Take care,
    Bill
