home page picture link to external website

Hi there,
I would like to link the picture on my homepage to an external site where internet users can buy tickets to a show. could you tell me how to put in a link that redirects visitors to another site?

Paris,

You can have your slideshow images link to a page off of your site. Here’s what to do:

1. Go to the page where you’d like your visitors to end up and copy the URL.
2. Next in your WordPress control panel go to Media > Slides and either edit the slide you’re using or create a new one.
3. In the “Slide Options” spot, there is a field labeled “Optional Link.” Paste the URL you copied into that field and update/publish your slide.
