    Bill,

I am getting site load errors (attached) re googleapis. Seems the google server cannot be found (maybe they changed the url).

I dont necessarily want to change fonts – just fix errors.

I dont use google maps so that can be removed if a simple task.

On another subject – when using website download time checking apps, they talk about “cache-control” and refer me to this url “https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/performance/optimizing-content-efficiency/http-caching#cache-control”

Is this at all relevant to using wordpress themes or is it aimed at actual designers (as it seems). Just a general question and not really an issue.

    Good Morning Paul,

I took a look just now and did not encounter any not found error with Google services. I looked through the site and didn’t see the Google map. If you want to add that back in, I’d be glad to see if I can spot anything there.

There are some WordPress hosts and/or plugins that can help optimize your site. If your host offers those services, I would go with what they offer as it will better fit with their servers. That’s one reason I host with WP Engine. They keep my sites running great and I don’t have to go digging through server configurations. That’s not my area of expertise.

Let me know about the map and we’ll go from there,
    Bill

    Bill,

    Thanks again for timely response.
Bit hard to find errors that have now gone – all ok here now also – maybe an internet related problem ??

Re the maps – I dont want to use them but as the load error was there I just thought we may be able to remove all references to google maps. However, that error has also gone ??

Will look at references in your para about host services.

So it seems I wasted your time although the error did exist (once). I will test over a greater period in future.

    Thanks.

    Paul

I’m always happy to look. It happened once, so it might happen again. If you do spot any trouble, let me know.

    Bill
