    I have having difficulty downloading this audio file. Any idea as to why? The one after it is fine.

    Hey Kevin,

    Sorry for the trouble there. It looks like the podcast is not there now so I can’t take a look and see if anything appears odd. Does the file play at all through a web browser?

    Try again. It plays in the video section but I can’t download it. try it again

    Hmmm. Looks like http://www.familylifecc.tv/podcast/its-time-to-kill-some-weeds/ is still pulling up a not found error for me.

    Perfect. So the type of file that can be downloaded is pretty narrow for security reasons. The audio download option will accept mp3 and mpa file extensions. It’s not set up for video file downloading, but I believe we can add in that file type.

    Go to the appearance section in your WordPress dashboard and click on Edit. From the list of files on your right, click on download.php. Delete everything there and replace it with this:

    Save your changes. I believe that will add the mp4 file extension to the list of ones that can be downloaded. Let me know how that works for you.

    Glad to hear that did the trick for you. I’ll look at adding in a few more media types for the downloads into the theme 🙂
