    Hello,

I am excited to be using your theme. I just downloaded it and love how easy it is to use. I need to be able to display an image in the header, similar to what you see on http://www.houselink.on.ca/. Can I do this with the agency theme?

I have attached an image of what I have so far. Is there a way to keep the header? If not, am I able to keep on all the other pages?

    Hello Anna,

Thank you for your business first of all. Great question too. There are two ways to add images to the header. In the Theme Options page on the first tab, there is a spot where you can add in an image logo.

If you need the full header image that’s on the other site, with the cityscape, then that can be done as well. Probably the best option would be to make the header image the first slide that’s on the home page. That way it will be present before any other images. If you only add that image, it will always be present in the header. The slideshow images are added by going to Media in your dashboard and clicking on Slides. There’s a quick video in theme instructions at https://support.organizedthemes.com/agency-theme-instructions/ that can walk you through setting those up.

If you have something else in mind, let me know and we’ll see what we can make happen.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Hi Bill, I added the cityscape image using the Theme Options, first tab, but it was in the middle of the page on top of the menu and slider image.

I tried the cityscape to be the first slid er – that didn’t work either. It sat on top of the menu items, plus I want to have the slider rotating through images. What I want to do is what you show on your website. You show that the following site is using the agency theme http://ravenswoodef.org/ The slider is under their logo. I want to be able to put the city scape as my logo followed by the menus and the slider. I want my site to have that same structure as http://ravenswoodef.org/ and this is the reason I bought the agency theme. How do I accomplish that? Your video on how to use the theme does not indicate how to do that.

    Hello Anna,

Good questions. I took a look at Ravenswood’s site and it looks like they have switched from Agency to our Foundation theme. At one point in time they were using Agency (that’s when I took the screenshot) but that have since switched.

If you go with Agency, I would separate the cityscape from the rest of the graphic in an image editor and add portion that as your logo. The spot for a logo in Agency is really about 300 pixels wide by about 300 pixels tall. Logos larger than that typically just don’t fit as well with the layout. They tend to cover up the navigation menu and the slider.

But if you’re wanting how that site looks at the present time, then let’s switch to either our Foundation or Forward themes. They are both similar and will work with a larger header image without much trouble. If you’d like to do that, let me know and I’ll be happy to get the other theme for you. Forward is our most recent theme and that would be the one I would go with personally, but either one should fit the bill.

Let me know and we’ll go from there.

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi Bill,

Thank you. I agree that the Forward theme will work better. I appreciate the willingness to switch them out. Let me know what you need me to do.

    Thanks
