    Hi Bill,

    Hope you’re well!

    Setting up a new website with the Unami theme. I seem to be having some trouble with the download and uploading the demo content.

    Although some of the pictures came over, Unami isn’t listed under my themes and I’ve had various error messages when uploading the .xml and .wie files.

    Any insight?

    Hi Tammy,

    Hope all is well with you this morning. You said that you don’t see Umami listed under your themes. Were you able to install and activate the theme before you imported the demo content? The demo content doesn’t contain the theme itself.

    What you’ll want to do is download the theme from the downloads page (https://support.organizedthemes.com/downloads/). Then install and activate it. Once it’s activated, it should redirect you to the theme options page. Go on and save the options before leaving that page.

    If you plan on using WooCommerce, install and activate it next. Then you can import the theme options, the xml file and the widget file.

    You might consider just skipping on the sample content and starting from a blank slate. Umami is a pretty simple theme and is one that the sample content won’t give you much of a leg up. You might just look through the documentation at https://support.organizedthemes.com/umami/ and go from there instead.
