Strange behavior, on my pages a few lines off the body text is repeating at the very top of pages, and ends with this […]” />

From the web if I click view source, I see the text sitting way up in the header area, is there a place to find and erase this?

My page edit view looks clean, I don’t see the repeat text.

    thanks !

    John,

Sorry for the trouble there. It sounds like something may be filtering a WordPress function called the excerpt. The theme uses that function to generate descriptions that search engines use, but it can be overwritten by plugins. Here’s what I would suggest doing.

    1. Go to the Theme Options page and select the “Identity” tab.
    2. Find the option to “Include Built In SEO” and choose no.
    3. Update your settings.
    4. Then go to the Plugins section and select Add New.
    5. Search for WordPress SEO by Yoast and install/activate the plugin.

That will disable the built-in titles/descriptions and replace them with ones made by this really wonderful plugin.

If you have any trouble, let me know.

    Thanks and enjoy your weekend,
    Bill
