I created an attention widget for my home page, but when I added the url to the link, a separate box was created below the widget. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi Cassie,

That’s not what we’re going for there. I took a look just now and didn’t spot the attention widget on the home page. Could I get you to add it in temporarily so I can see what’s happening there with it?

    Thanks,
    Bill

Hmmm strange. Well on my page it is on the home screen. The home screen is at pilgrimradio.com/test

    Thanks Cassandra,

Thanks. So if you’re only looking to have a listen live button, I would leave the title empty. Place the URL in the field for it and then add “Listen Live” to the “Button Text” field. The presence of a URL will cause the button to appear, that’s the blue box below the listen live title that’s there now. It just needs some text to make it an identifiable button.

See how that goes for you,
    Bill

Is it possible to have the Attention button open in a new window?

    Thanks

    Good Morning Cassie,

Good question. The best way to do that in this case would be to swap out the attention widget for a text one. In the text widget, add this for a button:

    <a class="button" href="http://yoururl.com" target="_blank">Button Text</a>

Just change the http://yoururl.com to the URL you’d like to link to and “Button Text” to what you’d like the button to say.

That should give you a button that opens up in a new window. If you run into trouble, let me know.

    Have a great weekend,
    Bill
