I’m wondering if the Forward theme allows to adjust the slider image and text box to be smaller on the home page. We’re looking for it to take up just a bit less real estate.

    Hi Jennifer,
Good question. The slider’s size is based on the size of the images that are used there. Here is what I would suggest. Make all of the images 1140 pixels wide. Then crop the images to be however tall you’d like them to be. Keep the image sizes consistent so the slider doesn’t change size with each slide. That’ll set the size of e slider for you.

Just remember, regardless of the width of the image, it will always be made to be full width by the browser. So if you upload a 600 pixel wide by 400 pixel tall image, it will be stretched to 1140 pixels wide making the height closer to 800 pixels. That’s why I recommend going on and making the images 1140 pixels wide so you’ll know exactly how tall the slides will be on a desktop sized browser.

    Take care,
    Bill
